India Student Association

Welcome to the India Student Association at Texas Tech University.

The Indian Students’ Association is a group of students-both graduate and undergraduate here to serve the needs of Indian students at Tech. Our aim is to create a conducive environment for the Indian community here in Lubbock. The association also aims to promote Indian culture and tradition, cultural exchange and harbour a sense of unity in diversity at Tech.

India is known for its outstanding monuments, lip smacking delicacies, linguistic diversity and cultural exuberance. We are a mirror of everything Indian, and a reflection of India. We are a home away from home for all Indian students. We are the periscope to apprehensive aspirants back home. ISA helps new students acclimatize to a new city, new people and a new educational system by creating awareness regarding social and educational issues that they may face at the university.

ISA is one of the largest and most active student associations at TTU. ISA organizes several events throughout the year, which receive participation from dignitaries, faculty, families and students in large numbers. ISA offers a whole gamut of events under its banner such as ISA night, Ahaan, summer sports, Diwali and Holi celebrations ; and ISA trip. ISA and IAWT also give scholarships upto 5 in number to needful ISA members studying in TTU. We are known for our service to the Indian community in Lubbock and are committed to the welfare of Indian students.

With undaunted spirit and unfaltering steps, we march towards the end, and are proud to be the "Organization of the Year" four times in a row. ISA has always been and will continue to be a platform for students to express their needs, interact with the community at large and promote exchange of ideas.

We look forward to your cooperation and expect your enthusiasm in keeping the organization towards the march to touch the zenith.
